"In Andreas Restorff, a genuine musician's heart beats. He captures the versatility of the works and combines his experiences into a personal and honest picture. He is a skilled cellist and will demonstrate his musicality, talent, commitment, and abilities in many different contexts for a long time to come."

Teitur

"Andreas is very skilled and thorough. He immerses himself in the material and asks the right questions. He sets high standards for himself and sets a high standard for his fellow musicians to live up to. In a group, he is good at socializing and maintaining a good atmosphere. By touring in a rock band context, he has shown that he can handle pressured situations and changing conditions and still deliver every night."

Kristian Blak

Faroese Composer Association

"It is a special pleasure to follow Andreas Restorff's development as a composer and musician. His composition for cello and electronics, premiered at the National Museum of the Faroe Islands at the Summartónar Festival 2015, is personal, and we hope that Andreas will continue to enrich the Faroese music scene with more compositions in the future."

Búi E. Dam

"The theater play 'Látur Medusu' was staged and performed in February/March 2018 at Torshavn's theater, Tjóðpallur Føroya. The play dealt with the indomitable femininity in women, men, and the wild nature. The music for the project was composed and arranged by Andreas T. Restorff. As a director, it was a delight to collaborate with Andreas, who has total control over his instrument and reliable knowledge of music and composition as a whole. Andreas has empathy and dramaturgical understanding of the role as a sound master. Furthermore, Andreas is easy to collaborate and communicate with, and he effortlessly becomes part of the artistic team."

MA Electronic Music Composition, Teacher at SDMK Esbjerg and MGK Syd/Kolding Musikskole

"I have worked with Andreas Tykjær Restorff at the Fabula event organized by Jazz Denmark in 2017 and 2018, and here I experienced a dedicated and highly motivating teacher. Andreas knows how to initiate a creative and musical process among children and young people, and he effortlessly juggles multiple tasks while maintaining focus and direction, both pedagogically and artistically. I highly recommend him."

Trygvi Danielsen

"Andreas created the sound design for my 25-minute film '111 góðir dagar,' which won the 'Geytavirðislønina 2018' award. There is no doubt about Andreas's musical skills; he is not only a craftsman but also an artist who manages to elevate a task and raise the overall level. He works with thoroughness, dedication, and enthusiasm. Moreover, Andreas has an open mind and listens carefully to ideas from his colleagues. He is easy to collaborate with and is a patient and sympathetic person who, despite his talent, prioritizes the artwork over his ego. He is both professional and humane. It was a great pleasure to hear him play with the sounds and work together to find the right sounds for the specific situations. When I asked if he was interested in the task, he immediately said yes, and shortly after, he had a multitude of different ideas on how the sound design could be put together. He used sounds that already existed and fit perfectly with the film, enhancing the various emotions in a subtle way. I am very happy with the sound design that Andreas created for my film. It was a joy to work and be together with him, and I can only recommend him to anyone looking for a composer for any project."

Andreas Olsen

Andreas has been playing with Aldubáran for many years and has become indispensable and a significant musician for us. He will undoubtedly provide great inspiration to Aldubáran and the Faroese cultural scene in the future."
